Previous incarnations of the active hydropneumatic suspension weren't bad either.
Here's a Citroën Xantia Activa cornering (well, drifting) with absolutely ZERO body roll.

The upcoming DS9 has to have that suspension. It's not even an "if".

It only has a choice of a 4cyl or a 6 cyl HDI FAP diesels. The frenchiest new-ish car :)

I can't imagine those are inexpensive to fix if something needs repairs

It's not a corolla, but do keep in mind that Citroen has been using this system on their production cars for about 60 years now. It's reliable and not as expensive as it seems.

Ah, I'm just an American who has no sense of anything French. I never knew Citroen had been using this for so long!

They offered a 3.0 petrol V6 initially, but sales were low even for C6 standards, so they later replaced it with the 3.0 V6 diesel that my Grandma's Jaguar XF also uses. I checked the online classifieds yesterday and there are none of those around, though =/

What are the chances?! I was watching this just yesterday while researching Hydractive for uni.

Yes, I didn't consider it because it's basically non-existent. I think for DD the best would be the rare base model: 2.2 HDI manual with the plush interior - not as fast in a straight line, but much more fuel efficient and just as good at cruising in 6th. Also, the plush they use is incredibly durable.

STOP MAKING ME WANT ONE DAM IT....
....
actually, how old are these things now? I know that if its over 15 years old i can import it and run it as a classic....

I thought they were switching to their new 'Inertial Dampener' system.

Just realized the Citroen C6 would have made for a great honest Buick if that PSA/GM "partnership" ever had a shot at panning out. Too bad.

2005-12.
Six more years ;-)

Sadly, the era of hydropneumatically sprung Citroens may be over. The C6 is now out of production and the C5 is the only current car with it (and it can be purchased without.) Makes me love my CX even more.

The car is absolutely beautiful! I want it

I wish the US didn't have their insane import laws. Because I would buy one and say "Screw it, je suis français"

They aren't 15 years old now . They'll be fine.

ehh, ya i guess.
but then this means i could also import a alfa romeo brera....
dam it. i hate these choices

Everything I've read about the Brera says it's a bit disappointing and doesn't live up to those looks (just like every Alfa for as long as most can remember), plus it's either FWD or front-biased AWD. The C6 is the one I'd have!

ehhh. my dad drove one when he was in italy once, and he loved it. so i might just get him one if the prices arent that bad
